If you or a family member recently experienced a serious accident or illness, you may be traveling down a road you never thought you'd travel. It's a road where everyday activities -- things like tying a shoe, getting into a car, even having a conversation -- create enormous challenges. But, it's far from hopeless. With hard work, determination and proper rehabilitation care, you can reclaim your life...one step at a time.

CARE

Mission

To provide quality, cost effective, comprehensive rehabilitation services to those who have the potential and wish to attain a higher level of self-sufficiency and to minimize the human and economic cost of illness and injury.

MeritCare Rehabilitation Services has provided quality care to thousands of individuals and families throughout the Red River Valley.

Scope of Service Disclosure

We provide service to persons who have temporary, progressive or permanent illness or disability that interrupts physical function, language, cognitive adaptation, social, vocational and economic status.

A Team Approach

As patients recover from serious accidents or illnesses, their needs are many and varied. That's why a team approach is so important. Bringing together a network of specialists and lay people with a variety of expertise, gives patients and their families the holistic care and support they need to let the healing process begin.

SERVICES

Outpatient Services

At MeritCare Rehabilitation Services, our focus is on helping patients successfully return to the community. That return depends, in part, on a smooth transition from hospital to home, including the availability of outpatient services.

Inpatient Services

Since 1991, the inpatient MeritCare Rehabilitation service has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) More recently, our brain injury program received CARF accreditation as well. CARF accreditation serves to ensure that MeritCare provides a competent, quality rehabilitation program. It is the highest recognition of quality a facility can earn. Learn more about our inpatient services by viewing our annual outcomes.

Pediatric Brain Injury Program

This is a resource for educators and healthcare providers to learn about acquired brain injuries (ABI) and how to work with children suffering from them.

Spine Rehab Program

Chronic back pain can be debilitating and frustrating. The LIFEBACK® Spine Programs offer scientifically engineered, evidenced-based treatment for patients with chronic or recurring back pain.

Driving Program

An illness or injury can often result in a gradual or sudden decline in driving skills; everything from arthritis to stroke to amputation can affect a person's ability to drive. As a result, people are sometimes restricted from driving or may continue to drive, compromising their safety and the safety of others. MeritCare Rehabilitation Services has created a Driving Program to help people learn or sharpen driving skills after illness or injury.
