A MeritCare dietitian, diabetes educator, and exercise physiologist are teaming up to bring you the information that you need. The first night is with a diabetes nurse educator, who will provide information about pre-diabetes, your risk factors, and what you can do to prevent pre-diabetes from developing into diabetes. You’ll leave with a complimentary blood glucose meter to check blood glucose at home. On the second night, a clinical dietitian will discuss portion sizes, nutrient distribution, eating out, snack ideas and more. On the last night an exercise physiologist, will give you a practical approach to implementing physical activity into your everyday lifestyle, along with information on how important it is with a CAN DO attitude.
