MeritCare Children's employs a clinical nutrition specialist, available to MeritCare patients. A clinical nutrition specialist focuses on nutrition topics for pregnant women, children and adults.
Dr. Cathy Breedon, clinical nutrition specialist, counsels parents and children about selecting appropriate foods, vitamins and minerals for overall health and for specific medical conditions. She also teaches at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Minnesota State University Moorhead and Concordia College.
