As an interventional radiologist, he performs biopsies, angiograms (arteriograms), angioplasties, endovascular repair of thoracic and aortic aneurysms (AAA), vertebroplasties/kyphoplasties, transjuglar intrahepatic portal systemic shunt, venous accesses, endovascular saphenous laser vein ablation/phlebectomies along with many other image-guided procedures through the skin using minimally invasive techniques, etc.

Medical education and training:
Dr. Teigen received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn. Dr. Teigen was awarded a McMillan Fellowship by the Department of Radiology, Mayo Clinic. He is board-certified in radiology and has a certificate of added qualifications in interventional radiology. This means that he has fulfilled the necessary criteria established by the regulating board and has passed the examinations that accredit him in this field. He participates in multiple FDA trials and actively develops new devices and techniques in his field.
