Child thrives after traumatic brain injury
Since spring 2005, when Darian barely survived a serious farm accident, the Frost family has made annual trips to MeritCare Children's Hospital… just to visit. "We're making it a tradition," says Jeremy, Darian's dad. "Darian's chances of survival were slim to none in the beginning. Without this medical team's care, their specialized equipment, their swift action and good judgment, she may not have made it. They did everything they could for her, and we are so grateful."
The accident happened April 12, 2005. Wearing her favorite pink coat, Darian trailed along with Jeremy as he worked on the family farm near New York Mills, Minn. Preparing to push feed with a mini skid-steer loader, Jeremy knew exactly where Darian was, but even at age 2, she could move fast.
