Nurse Mentor Program
Whether it's a complex surgery or a simple check up, when you or a loved one needs medical care, a skilled, compassionate nurse can make quite a difference. MeritCare is full of these passionate nurses who make a daily difference in patients' lives. Because we recognize the vital role nurses play in exceptional patient care, MeritCare recently launched a special program to support our nurses as they continuously grow, learn and share their passion and knowledge with fellow MeritCare nurses.
The MeritCare Nurse Mentor Program encourages nurses to "love their careers" by providing a unique opportunity for mentors – nurses who want to leave a legacy by fostering others' growth and development – and for mentees who want to enhance their professional and personal knowledge by listening to and learning from others.
Any MeritCare nurse can request a mentor to support them in their professional growth and goals. Likewise, any nurse who would like the chance to invest in and share their experiences with another nurse can become a mentor. For our nurses, this means a growing and renewed love for their careers and an ever-strengthening passion for great care. And for our patients, the Nurse Mentor Program means a continued commitment to the best possible patient care – care you and your loved ones can count on, whatever your medical needs.
