MeritCare Centennial Celebration of St. Luke's School of Nursing

Six hundred and fifty alumni, faculty, staff and guests attended the St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing Centennial Celebration on Friday, Aug. 15 in Fargo. Almost 500 of those in attendance were alumni, former faculty and staff. The evening provided lots of time for friends to re-connect during social hour and dinner. The short program was emceed by Evelyn Quigley and included remarks by Marily Geron, Todette Holt and Linda O'Halloran. Dr. Gilbertson gave an inspirational keynote address, a small group of alumni sang "Friends" by Michael W. Smith and to show what MeritCare looks like today, guests watched a Virtual Tour (slideshow).

Classes took group photos to have as a souvenir of the reunion. Other souvenirs sold included St. Luke's charm and pin, "MeritCare Centennial Celebration" watercolor note cards by Ellen Jean Diederich and the history of nursing at MeritCare DVD.

Conversation continued long into the night! Class groups met throughout the weekend to continue the celebration.
