Otolaryngology — more commonly known as ENT (ear, nose and throat) is the medical treatment of conditions and diseases that affect the ears, nose and throat. MeritCare otolaryngologists diagnose and manage diseases of the sinuses, larynx, oral cavity, upper pharynx (mouth and throat), and structures of the neck and face in both children and adults.

CARE

Common Procedures

Chronic sore throats are a regular occurrence in ENT; the staff often inserts tubes into the ears of children with multiple ear infections; and they treat chronic sinus infections. ENT is the place that schedules tonsillectomies and removes adenoids. Audiology is a part of this department.
